Air quality contaminants are usually things we cannot see, smell or otherwise detect with our senses. They cause not only nuisance – such as excess carbon dioxide making people tired in a packed meeting room – but also a threat to health, such as the finest particles penetrating the alveoli of the lungs. Without measuring, you cannot know the state of the indoor air.

Different monitoring for different situations

The temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration of workspaces are the basic indicators of wellbeing. By measuring just these three variables, you get data on, for example, whether the meeting room is too crowded or whether the sun is heating up the office too much. Condition data can also be used, for example, as background information for BREEAM certification. Broader measurement of several variables, on the other hand, may be needed during the street dust and allergy season, when you also monitor fine particle levels with the same device.
